Samuele Ricci, born on 21 August 2001 (age 25), is an Italian central defensive midfielder with Como, where he wears squad number 14. His current market value is around £18.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Empoli was the first clear marker in his senior career. The 2020-21 season remains his most productive league campaign, with two goals in 33 appearances, a useful early body of work for a midfielder whose game has been built more around control than headline output.
At Como in 2026-27, Ricci has made three Serie A appearances and one in the Champions League, four in total across all competitions. He has also been involved with Italy this season, making three appearances in European World Cup qualifiers.
Ricci’s career has moved from a substantial early spell at Empoli to a present role at Como, with international involvement adding to his profile. He is an established Italian midfielder rather than a project, and his next steps will be judged on regular football as much as reputation.
