Como are one of Italian football’s older names, founded in 1907 and based at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Their current squad is valued at around £327.5m by Transfermarkt, a figure that underlines the scale of the project rather more clearly than any romantic lakeside framing.
The 2025-26 campaign showed a side with decent balance. Como averaged 1.8 goals scored and 0.8 conceded at home, while their away numbers were almost as tidy: 1.6 scored and 0.7 conceded per match. They also struck first inside 20 minutes in eight of 17 league matches, which points to a team capable of starting sharply rather than feeling its way into games.
The goals were not carried by one player alone. Tasos Douvikas led the way with 17, followed by Nico Paz on 13, with Martin Baturina and Lucas da Cunha both contributing eight. Marc-Oliver Kempf added four, a useful return from deeper areas.
They finished strongly, winning at Cremonese, Hellas Verona and Genoa without conceding, and also beating Parma 1-0 at home. For Celtic supporters, Como look like a well-funded, organised Italian side with enough attacking variety to make any meeting a proper test.
