Matthias Braunöder, born on 27 March 2002 (age 24), is an Austrian central midfielder now with Como. His current market value is around £1m, according to Transfermarkt.
His early senior grounding came with Young Violets, where he had his most productive league season in 2020-2021, scoring two goals in 28 appearances. It was not a spectacular return, but for a young midfielder it was useful work: regular minutes, responsibility, and the sort of football that tends to matter more than tidy youth-level reputation.
Braunöder’s career has since taken him to Como, where he is primarily used in central midfield. He remains a developing professional rather than a finished article, with his path so far shaped by early first-team exposure in Austria and a move into Italian football.
