Mads Bech Sørensen, born on 7 January 1999 (age 27), is a Danish central defender with FC Midtjylland. At 6ft 4in (1.93m), he is a commanding presence, the sort of centre-half whose basic tools are not hard to spot.
His development included early loan football, which gave him senior minutes before he became more settled at club level. That part of the route matters with defenders; there is only so much polishing that can be done away from proper matches.
His strongest league return came in 2023-24 with FC Midtjylland, when he scored four goals in 24 appearances. In 2026-27, he has made 10 appearances in all competitions for Midtjylland, including four in the Superliga with one goal, along with outings in Europa League and Conference League qualifying.
His current market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt. His career to this point has been that of a developing Danish defender who has taken his loans, built a role at Midtjylland, and added a modest goal threat from the back.
