Javi Rodríguez, born on 26 June 2003 (age 23), is a Spanish right-back with Celta Vigo. At 6ft 5in (1.95m), he is an unusually commanding full-back, and wears the number 20 shirt.
His career has been shaped almost entirely at Celta. Across three league seasons he has made 74 league appearances and scored four goals, which gives the story a fairly clear centre of gravity. His most productive campaign came in 2024-25, when he scored three times in 36 league matches.
In 2026-27, Rodríguez has made eight appearances for Celta in all competitions, scoring three goals. That includes five LaLiga appearances with one goal, and three Europa League appearances with two goals.
Rodríguez remains a Celta player whose senior career is still taking shape, but the outline is already plain enough: a tall Spanish right-back with regular league experience and a growing role in European fixtures.
