Gue-sung Cho (born 25 January 1998, age 28) is a South Korean striker with FC Midtjylland, where he wears the number 10 shirt. His current market value is around £3m, according to Transfermarkt.
His most productive league campaign came with FC Anyang in 2019, when he scored 14 goals in 33 appearances. That remains the cleanest statistical marker from the earlier part of his career – a proper centre-forward return rather than a flattering footnote.
At Midtjylland, Cho remains a regular first-team presence in 2026-27. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four times, with two goals in Conference League qualifiers and two more in the Europa League. He has also featured in the Superliga and in Europa League qualifying.
He has continued to be involved with South Korea as well, making two World Cup appearances and four appearances in Asian World Cup qualifying this season, scoring once in the qualifiers.
Cho’s career has moved from a productive spell at FC Anyang to a sustained role at Midtjylland, with international involvement alongside it. He is an established striker rather than a developing prospect, and his current season still has him in regular use for club and country.
