Geny Catamo, born on 26 January 2001 (age 25), is a Mozambique international right winger for Sporting CP. He wears the No 10 shirt and is valued at around £13m by Transfermarkt.
His development included early loan spells, useful rather than glamorous, before Sporting CP became the clear centre of his career. Across five league seasons with the Lisbon club, he has made 90 league appearances and scored 16 goals, which tells its own story: he has not been a passing squad name.
Catamo’s best league return came in 2025–26, when he scored six times in 29 appearances. By 2026–27 he remained part of Sporting’s first-team picture, with 18 appearances and three goals across all competitions, including involvement in the Champions League.
He has also carried that relevance into international football, representing Mozambique in World Cup qualifying with eight appearances and three goals. At club level, his career is still being written mainly in Sporting colours: a wide player developed through their system, tested by loans, and now established enough to matter in the senior side.
