Ewan Otoo, born on 30 August 2002 (age 23), is a Scottish defensive midfielder at Dunfermline Athletic. He came through Celtic, but his senior career only really began to take shape once he moved away from Glasgow and into regular first-team football.
His Dunfermline spell began with the sort of early loan football that tends to do more for a young player than another year waiting around the fringes. In July 2023, he left Celtic for Dunfermline permanently, turning what had been a development step into the main part of his career.
Otoo has since made 79 league appearances for Dunfermline, scoring five goals across four seasons. Wearing number 6, he has settled into a defensive-midfield role, with his most productive league campaign coming in 2024–25, when he scored three times in 36 appearances.
In 2025–26, he has made 10 Championship appearances without scoring. His current market value is around £106,000, according to Transfermarkt.
Otoo’s career is now firmly centred on Dunfermline: a former Celtic player who moved on, found senior minutes, and built a solid profile in the Scottish Championship.
