Eduardo Quaresma, born on 2 March 2002 (age 24), is a Portuguese centre-back whose senior career has been shaped above all by Sporting CP. He came through there, stayed close to the first-team picture, and has built up 69 league appearances and four league goals across six seasons.
His early development included a loan spell at Tondela in 2021–22, which gave him a fuller run of senior football than he was getting at Sporting. That remains his most productive league season in attacking terms, with two goals in 25 appearances.
Back at Sporting CP, Quaresma has remained part of the defensive group rather than drifting into the usual loan-cycle obscurity. In 2026–27, he has opened the season with two league appearances for the club. His market value is around £15.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Quaresma’s career is still developing, but its shape is already clear enough: a Sporting CP centre-back, with one useful loan spell at Tondela helping bridge the gap between promise and regular senior football.
