Zeki Çelik, born on 17 February 1997 (age 29), is a Turkey international right-back with Roma. He remains a regular first-team presence in 2025–26, which is the main point with him: not glamorous, not especially noisy, but still trusted often enough in a demanding side.
His most productive league season came at Lille in 2020–21, when he scored three goals in 29 appearances. That spell in France established him beyond the Turkish game and led him on to Roma, where he has settled into the sort of role that rarely attracts much fuss until it is missing.
In 2025–26, Çelik has made 34 Serie A appearances for Roma, scoring once, along with one Coppa Italia appearance and 10 in the Europa League. Across all competitions for the club this season, he has played 45 times and scored one goal. His current market value is around £5m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also remained involved with Turkey, making one World Cup appearance and five European World Cup qualifying appearances this season, with one goal in qualifying. His career to this point is straightforward enough: Lille gave him a proper platform, Roma have kept him in regular use, and Turkey continue to call on him.
