Born on 16th August 2002 in Australia, the 23-year-old striker, Zac Sapsford, currently plies his trade in Scotland with Dundee United, donning the number 9 jersey. Standing at a height of 5ft 10in (1.78m) and weighing in at 11 stone (70 kg), he spearheads the attack for his club.
The Australian began his career at Sydney FC in A-League, before making a domestic move to Western Sydney Wanderers in July 2022. Very much a bit-part player in his debut season, Sapsford only managed to feature four times for the first team in league matches. However, the subsequent two seasons saw a marked improvement in his contributions. The 2023-2024 campaign saw him make 12 first team appearances, in which he netted twice, whereas in the 2024-2025 season he struck eight times in 25 league appearances.
In July of 2025, he transferred from Western Sydney Wanderers to Dundee United, joining the Scottish Premiership. The specifics of the deal have been kept under wraps, with the transfer fee yet to be disclosed. In his ongoing maiden season in Scotland (2025 - 2026), Sapsford further displayed his potential, scoring six times in 21 first-team appearances. This includes contributions on the European stage, where he managed to score two goals in four starts, whilst participating in the Conference League Qualifiers.
While his career may not have taken him to the grand footballing stages as of yet, Sapsford's performances in Australia and Scotland have certainly showcased his potential and promise for the future. For the rest of this season and beyond, he will surely aim to build upon his growing reputation in the world of football.
