Youri Tielemans, born on 7 May 1997 (age 29), is a Belgian centre midfielder now wearing number 18 for Manchester United. His current market value is around £32.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His most productive league season came early, at Anderlecht in 2016-17, when he scored 12 goals in 27 appearances. That remains the obvious marker of his attacking output from midfield, though his game has long been about more than arriving at the edge of the box at the right time.
By 2026-27, Tielemans remains a regular first-team presence at Manchester United. He has made eight appearances across all competitions, including five in the Premier League, along with outings in the FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League. It is steady involvement rather than headline-grabbing stuff, which is often the lot of a midfielder asked to keep things functioning.
He has also been active for Belgium this season, with five World Cup appearances bringing two goals, six World Cup Qualifiers Europe appearances bringing three more, and three Nations League outings. At 29, his career profile is well established: a Belgian midfielder who made his name at Anderlecht and remains involved at a high level for club and country.
