Willo Flood

Willo Flood of Bali United was born in Dublin, Rep. Ireland on 10 April 1985 (age 39)

Willo Flood, born on the 10th of April, 1985 in the small town of Rep. Ireland, is a composed and skillful footballing midfielder, who presently graces the field for Bali United. Distinguished by a modest height of 5ft 6in (1.68m) and a steady weight of 9st 10lb (62kg), Flood has made a commendable career for himself in domestic and international football circles.

In July 2002, as a young trainee brimming with great potential, Flood joined the ranks of Manchester City in the Premier League. According to his records, he made fourteen first-team appearances for City in the 2004 and 2005 seasons, adding a solitary goal to his tally during the 2004 - 2005 season.

In a bid to gain more experience and individual development, Flood was loaned out to Rochdale in March 2004, where he made six first-team appearances, then to Coventry City in August 2005, making eight appearances with a goal to boot in the Championship.

Spellbinding performances for his loan clubs signalled a transfer from Manchester City to Cardiff City in August 2006, an agreement shrouded in the secrecy of undisclosed fees. Flood made 25 first-team appearances for Cardiff and found the back of the net once.

In July 2007, Flood voyaged north of the English border, signing with Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership. His four seasons there spanned 141 matches, marking five goals in his time with The Terrors.

In a brave £50k move, Flood swapped jerseys from Dundee to the green and white hoops of Celtic in January 2009. His time at Celtic, albeit brief, was a noteworthy chapter in his career. Playing for two seasons, from 2008 to 2010, Flood made six first-team appearances in league matches. The crescendo of his Celtic career, however, saw him making his mark on the international stage in the Champions League.

His travels further brought him to Middlesbrough in January 2010, where he made 16 appearances across two seasons. After his tenure at Middlesbrough, Flood returned to Dundee United in July 2011. Seeming to fancy his time in Scotland, he once again found himself at Aberdeen in July 2013, where he featured across three seasons making 80 appearances.

In July 2016 Flood once again found himself back at Dundee United. Combined with his past performances, his latest spell saw him becoming a Dundee United stalwart, with no less than 141 appearances across four separate seasons.

In a sudden and rather unanticipated switch, July 2018 saw Flood exchanging the Scottish winter for the tropical climate of Indonesia, as he signed for Bali United in Liga 1. As of the current season of 2024 - 2025, he hasn't yet made an appearance for Bali United.
