Viljami Sinisalo was born on 11 October 2001 in Finland and is currently standing between the sticks for Celtic Football Club as a competent goalkeeper. Bearing an imposing figure, Sinisalo stretches to 6 foot 5 inches (1.96m) and weighs a sturdy 13 stone 9 pounds (87kg). When on the pitch, you can spot him easily donning the number 12 jersey. In addition to his club exploits, he has also earned the honour of representing his native Finland on the international stage.
As estimated by Transfermarkt, Sinisalo's current market value revolves around the sum of €1.00m, which is equivalent to roughly £1m.
Prior to joining the Hoops, Sinisalo has had quite a colourful career rap sheet. July 2018 marked the start of his journey in the Premier League's Aston Villa as a fresher. Following a couple of seasons and a lack of first-team opportunities, he was loaned out to Ayr United in the Championship in Scotland in September 2020.
Upon his successful tenure at Ayr, he was recalled by Aston Villa in June 2021. However, this was a brief spell as he was again loaned out to Burton Albion in the League One in England in July 2022. During his debut season with Albion, he managed to feature in four first-team league matches.
It became a pattern, Aston Villa recalling him in December 2022 and quickly sending him off to another loan spell, this time at Exeter City in League One in July 2023. His breakthrough moment eventually arrived when he made the transfer from Aston Villa to the Scottish champions, Celtic, in July 2024 for a fee that mirrored his then market value of approximately £1m.
In his inaugural season with Celtic, 2024 - 2025, he managed to make six first team appearances in league matches. However, in the current season, 2025 - 2026, he has yet to feature for Celtic’s senior side.
Regardless, his contributions have been felt in Cup competitions, including one start in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 and two starts in the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025. Sinisalo's international cap came in the form of a start during the Euro Qualifiers 2022 - 2024 representing Finland.
