Emanating from Mexico and born on the 8th of May 2003, Víctor López is a venerable forward, oftentimes taking up the left winger aside for Dundee. No towering presence on the pitch, López stands at five foot five inches (1.67m) and tips the scales at ten stone seven pounds (67kg). On the stadium he dons the number 27 jersey. This young lad's current market value is gauged at an estimable £260k according to Transfermarkt.
When it comes to his transfer history, López embarked on a new journey in July of 2021 when he joined the ranks of Monterrey in the Liga MX in his home country Mexico. During his inaugural season (2023-2024) with the club, he commanded the pitch 14 times in league matches and netted a modest three goals.
The following season, López found himself farmed out on loan to Queretaro, also in the Liga MX. While there, he held two stints in first team league matches and slotted home one goal during the 2024 - 2025 season.
In a surprising shift of events, López found himself trading in sunshine for the rainy climes of Scotland in January 2025, when he was loaned to Dundee in the Premiership. While his current season (2025 - 2026) has yet to yield any first team appearances in league matches for the tall, dark drink of Mexican water, he has, however, made outings both in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 (once as a substitute) and in the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025 (once as a substitute) for Dundee. Indeed, Víctor López's story is far from being written in full.
