Václav Hladký, born 14 November 1990 in the Czech Republic, is a 33-year-old football professional who plays in the role of goalkeeper for Burnley. He stands a solid 6ft 2in (1.89m) tall, weighing in at 13st 9lb (87kg). He is easily recognizable on the pitch sporting the number 32 jersey.
Hladký's career in football kicked off in earnest when he joined the ranks of Zbrojovka Brno, a team in the Czech Republic National Football League, in January 2009. Gaining experience and honing his skills, he made his first league appearance in the 2012 - 2013 season, adding 25 more league matches to his name in the 2013 - 2014 season, and another 16 in the 2014 - 2015 season.
In July 2015, Hladký transitioned from Zbrojovka Brno to Slovan Liberec, another league competitor in his homeland, for an undisclosed fee. His tenure with Slovan Liberec saw him make strides in his career, clocking five league appearances in the 2015 - 2016 season, two in 2016 - 2017, 15 in 2017 - 2018, and nine more in the 2018 - 2019 season.
