Uche Ikpeazu, born on 28 February 1995, is a forward who primarily plays as a striker for St Johnstone. Possessing a robust size, he stands approximately 6ft 3in (1.91m) tall and weighs around 13st 12lb (88kg). Ikpeazu commands the pitch wearing the number 18 jersey, showcasing his natural talent beneath the Scottish clouds. Ikpeazu joined Watford in the Championship in July 2013, igniting his professional career in the world of football. His subsequent journey on the pitch involved a series of loans, first transferring from Watford to Crewe Alexandra of League Two in January 2014. He made an appreciable impact during his spell at Alexandra, particularly impressive were his 15 appearances in the 2013-14 season during which he netted four goals. The following season added 17 further appearances and two more goals to his tally at Crewe Alexandra.
Ikpeazu moved to Doncaster Rovers on loan in January 2015 and managed to appear in seven first team matches. By March, Ikpeazu was once again back at Crewe Alexandra, repeating his impressive performances from the previous seasons. His next tryst was with Port Vale, during the 2015-16 season, making 21 first team appearances and contributing five goals in one season. After a brief stint at Blackpool, he signed a permanent deal with Cambridge United in August 2016. Excelling in the 2017-18 season, he made 26 appearances and netted nine goals.
His first touch of Scottish football came when he transferred from Cambridge United to Hearts in the Premiership in July 2018. Over two seasons, he made 40 team appearances and scored five goals for Hearts. Rovers in 2020, to Middlesbrough in the Championship for an undisclosed fee the following season, and then to Cardiff City on loan, the journey continued before he returned to Middlesbrough on completion of the loan in June 2022.
An unpredictable decision saw Ikpeazu's move to Turkey, transferring from Middlesbrough to Konyaspor in the Sรผper Lig in August 2022. He returned to England in less than a year to join Port Vale once again. However, it was not until July 2024 when he joined St Johnstone in the Scottish Championship that his journey took its current turn
Prior to the current season of 2025-2026, Ikpeazu made four first team appearances for St Johnstone, whilst in the current season, his contribution stands at one goal from a single team appearance. In domestic cup championships, he further contributed two goals from three appearances as a substitute in the League Cup 2025-2026 for St Johnstone, and made one appearance as a substitute in the Scottish Cup during the 2024-2025 campaign.
