Born in Finland on 7 March 2003, Topi Keskinen is currently a 22-year-old professional footballer who operates primarily as a left winger for Aberdeen. Standing at a respectable 5ft 10in (1.8m) tall and weighing in at 11st 4lb (72kg), Keskinen has also made his mark on an international level, representing the Finland national side. His identifiable mark on the pitch is the number 81 shirt that he dons.
At present, Keskinen's market value hovers around the £1.5m mark, as reported by Transfermarkt. His contract with Aberdeen is due to terminate on 30 June 2028, giving him a comfortable tenure with the team of almost three more years.
Keskinen began his professional journey with Mikkelin Palloilijat in Finland's Kakkonen, making a leap to HJK in Finland's Veikkausliiga in January 2023. In his inaugural season with HJK, Keskinen made 25 appearances for the first team and netted two goals in league matches. He built upon this success in the 2024 season, contributing seven goals in 17 appearances for the team.
In August 2024, Keskinen's career took him across the North Sea to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. His transfer fee was a reasonable £860k. Keskinen justified this cost during the 2024-2025 season, making 36 appearances for Aberdeen and scoring five goals. The current season has seen him make a further two appearances.
In addition to his regular league play, Keskinen has assisted Aberdeen in their Scottish Cup endeavour during the 2024-2025 season with four starts. He also made a mark in the UEFA U21 Qualifiers 2025 for Finland, having scored two goals in just three starts.
