Tom McIntyre, born on 11th June 1998 in Scotland, is a powerhouse on the football pitch. The lad, who is now 27, stands 6ft tall (1.85m) and tips the scales at 12st 3lbs (78kg). Today, he contributes to the defence of Aberdeen as a central defender, proudly sporting the number 26 kit on the pitch. This laddie carries a decent market value of around £425k, as cited by an article on Transfermarkt.
McIntyre took his first step into professional football in July 2016, setting foot in Reading as a fresh trainee. It was in the 2018-2019 season that he made his debut, stepping onto the pitch in two first-team league matches. His performance charmed the management and fans alike, and he was given more chances. In the following seasons, from 2019 up to 2023, McIntyre regularly saw action in the first-team games, totalling 93 appearances and scoring six goals altogether.
In January 2024, a fresh chapter in his career opened when he transferred from Reading to Portsmouth for an unrevealed fee. After donning the Pompey blues for almost a full season, making a dozen appearances, McIntyre was outsourced to Charlton Athletic on loan in February 2025.
His stint at The Valley was short-lived, and he was back in Portsmouth by June 2025, to continue his contract. McIntyre graced the pitch a dozen times more for Portsmouth before he was given another itinerary. This time, he was sent north, to Bradford City, in September 2025. The Bantams kept him for a short while, before sending him back to Portsmouth in January 2026.
As fate would have it, McIntyre eventually ended up in his homeland in February 2026 when Aberdeen sought his services. Currently, in the ongoing 2025-2026 season, our lad has already taken to the pitch thrice in league matches under the Aberdeen colours. He also contributed in the Scottish Cup for Aberdeen, making one appearance so far.
