Tom Lowery, born on the 31st of December 1997, is an English-born midfielder, currently plying his trade for Kilmarnock in Scotland. Standing at a modest but agile 5ft 6inches (1.68m), and weighing in at roughly 11st 11lbs (75kg), Lowery's central midfield role utilises his considerable speed and agility. He can most commonly be seen sporting the number 18 jersey.
Valued at around £150K according to Transfermarkt, Lowery might not be the most expensive player on the pitch, but his performance often suggests otherwise.
Lowery started his journey in football as a trainee at Crewe Alexandra, a League Two club based in England. His debut season, 2016-2017, saw him make seven first team appearances in league matches. In the following season, he increased his tally significantly, with 22 first team appearances in league matches. This marked improvement was enough to catch the attention of scouts from more prestigious clubs.
In August 2022, Lowery moved to Portsmouth, a Championship club in England, where he continued to grow and develop his skills. However, it seems his first season at Portsmouth was something of a slow start. There, he only managed nine first team appearances in league matches.
In January 2025, Lowery would once again wear the colours of Crewe Alexandra. This time, he had moved on loan from Portsmouth. His performance during this particular loan period did not differ much from his initial tenure at the club, again making 7 and then 22 first team appearances in league matches.
July 2025 brought a change of location and league, as Lowery transferred to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership. He's had a somewhat muted presence in the current season, 2025-2026, with merely two first team appearances in league matches. However, he did make one starting appearance and two substitutions for the League Cup 2025 - 2026, suggesting his time at Kilmarnock might yield more opportunities yet.
