Tochi Chukwuani, having exited the womb on 24 March 2003 (makes the lad 22, in case your arithmetic skills are on a sabbatical), is a native of Denmark and ticks off the checkbox for a central midfielder. Now, he finds himself ravaging the grassy plains for the Rangers. In the realm of stature, the lad stands at 6ft 1in (if we consult the metric system, that's 1.87m). He bewitches the scales to display 11st 9lb (for non-stone folk, that's 74 kg). And the garment he so gallantly dons? The number 42. An interesting choice, some might say. Additionally, between potential pub visits and tossing about the pigskin, Chukwuani has managed to earn a spot in the Denmark U21 national team.
Now, you may be asking about his value. Well, our friends over at Transfermarkt quote it as €5.00m. Convert those foreign euros to good old British pounds, and you're looking at around £4.3m. Here's a gratuitous link to Transfermarkt for you: Check it out.
In the before times of July 2017, Chukwuani bowed and said 'how do you do' to FC Nordsjaelland in the Superliga in Denmark as a mere trainee. He rolled up his sleeves and managed to sneak into three league matches in the 2019 - 2020 season. Come the following season (that's 2020 - 2021 for those of you not keeping track), he appeared 26 times and scored two goals.
In August 2022, our truth-seeker, Chukwuani, uprooted from FC Nordsjaelland to Lyngby in the 1. division in Denmark. He made 23 appearances in the 2022 -2023 season at Lyngby and scored once. He decided to stick around for another season, appearing 31 times and netting four goals.
In July 2024, he was shipped to Sturm Graz in Austria for a humble fee of £180k. He played 27 matches and scored thrice in the 2024 - 2025 season. In the current season, Chukwuani's been seen on the field 16 times and found that elusive net once.
What about the present, you say? Well, in January 2026, Rangers decided to splash out £4.3m for his expertise. He's trotted onto the field eight times for the Scottish club this season and scored once. He has displayed prowess in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026, finding the net once in one start and two appearances as a sub. He also participated in the UEFA U21 Qualifiers 2025 for Denmark U21 with two starts and two substitute appearances. Now, ain't that just lovely?
