Thomas Beelen, born on 11 June 2001 (age 25), is a Dutch central defender whose senior career has been shaped mainly at Feyenoord. A commanding 6ft 3in (1.90m), he fits the physical profile of a modern centre-half without needing much dressing up.
Before Feyenoord became the main part of the story, Beelen had a proper breakthrough league season at PEC Zwolle in 2022-23, scoring once in 30 appearances. That gave him a platform rather than a finished reputation.
At Feyenoord, wearing squad number three, he has made 45 league appearances across three seasons and scored once. His current market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt.
Beelen’s career remains a developing one, but the centre of it is clear enough: PEC Zwolle provided the lift-off, while Feyenoord have given him the stage on which he is being properly judged.
