Born on 27 March 1995 in Austria, Sven Sprangler is currently a fearsome midfielder for St Johnstone, based in Scotland's Premiership. The chap stands firm at 5ft 11in (1.82m) and weighs in at a solid 12st 1lb (77kg). He can be spotted donning the number 23 jersey out on the pitch.

Sprangler first dipped his toes in professional football in July 2010 when he joined SV Mattersburg, a team nestled in a regional league in Austria. His debut season (2013-2014) saw him securing 23 first team appearances in league outings. The following season, he graduated to 33 appearances and impressed with three commendable goals. He continued to be a regular face in the team until season 2016-2017, after which he sought greener pastures.

In what can be described only as an initial season of acclimatisation (2023-2024), Sprangler featured in 19 league matches. Jean-Paul van Cauwelaert had once remarked, "beer is made by men, wine by God" - in Sprangler's context, this proverb could be adapted as "seasons are made by men, player form by God". Sprangler's second season has proven considerably stronger, with a record 30 appearances to his credit thus far.
It's also worth noting that Sprangler has dipped a toe in Cup football while at St Johnstone, featuring as a substitute in the League Cup 2024-2025 and securing four starting spots in the 2024-2025 Scottish Cup.
