Born in Norway on 13 July 2002, Sebastian Tounekti is currently 23 years old. As a forward, he often plays as a left winger for his current club, Celtic. In terms of physical attributes, Tounekti is 5ft 7in tall (1.71m) and weighs in at 10st 3lb (65kg).
As of now, Transfermarkt notes his current market value as being roughly £1m. He began his career at Tromsdalen, a 2. Divisjon club in his native Norway, from where he transferred to Eliteserien's Bodo Glimt in March 2020 for an undisclosed fee. During his debut season with the club that same year, he made nine first team appearances and scored once in league matches. The following season, 2021, saw Tounekti make a further five first team appearances.
In August of 2021, he transferred to Eredivisie's FC Groningen in the Netherlands, again for an undisclosed fee. However, this was only a fleeting stay as he returned to Norway and Bodo Glimt in June of 2022 at the end of his loan period. Again, he played nine first team games and scored once in his debut season, making a further five appearances in the 2021 season.
Tounekti was on the move again in August 2022, this time to Haugesund, also in the Eliteserien, for another undisclosed fee. Over the course of the next few seasons, he gradually increased his appearances for the club: five in 2022, seven in 2023, and 29 in 2024, during which he also scored four goals.
In February 2025, Tounekti left Norway for Swedish club Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan, this time for a transfer fee of roughly £1m. In the current season with his new club, he has so far made 21 first team appearances and scored twice.
As the wind of September 2025 blew, Tounekti was again transferred, this time moving from Sweden to the Scottish Premiership to play for Celtic. The fee for this move was kept undisclosed. For Celtic's current season, 2025 - 2026, he has not made any first team appearances in league matches.
