Seán Gannon, born 11 July 1991 (age 34), is an Irish right-back with a career built on steady first-team work rather than noise. His most productive league campaign came with Dundalk in 2014, when he scored two goals in 33 appearances, a useful reminder that his game has never really been about headline numbers.
He has since become a regular part of Shelbourne’s side. In 2026, he has made 16 Premier Division appearances without scoring, and 25 appearances in all competitions. That includes European work too: one Europa League qualifier, two Champions League qualifiers, two Conference League qualifiers and four Conference League appearances.
Gannon remains a first-team presence for Shelbourne in 2026, primarily at right-back. His career has been that of an established League of Ireland defender: dependable, experienced, and still involved at a meaningful level.
