Sead Hakšabanović, born 4 May 1999 in Sweden, is currently 26 years of age. The skillful forward who mainly operates as a left winger is currently plying his trade at Malmo FF, donning the number 29 jersey. Hakšabanović, standing at 5ft 8in (1.74m) and tipping the scales at approximately 11st 9lb (74kg), started his professional career at Halmstads BK in the Allsvenskan in Sweden as a trainee.
In the 2015 season, he got his first taste of the senior team at Halmstads BK, managing to make ten appearances. With more playtime the following year, he featured in 30 matches, netting eight goals. Before his transfer in 2017, he made another 18 appearances and added four more goals to his tally.
In August 2017, West Ham United in the Premier League paid a fee in the region of £2.7m, to secure his services from Halmstads BK. The next year, in 2018, he was loaned to Malaga in the Segunda División in Spain where he had two appearances. In an effort to gain more match experience, he was again loaned to IFK Norrkoping in Sweden in January 2019.
During his stay at Norrkoping, he clocked 29 appearances and scored six goals in the 2019 season, 29 appearances with seven goals in the 2020 season and seven appearances in the 2021 season. During the summer of 2020, Hakšabanović permanently transferred to Norrkoping from West Ham United, with the fee remaining undisclosed.
In the summer of 2021, he was sold to Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League for a hefty sum of £5.9m. Despite his twenty appearances and one goal, he was loaned back to Sweden to Djurgardens IF in March 2022. His stay at Djurgardens saw him make 11 appearances and score two goals.
Then, in a move that warmed the hearts of the Celtic faithful, he transferred from Rubin Kazan to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership in August 2022. In his first season, he impressed making a total of 26 appearances and scoring five goals. His second season was less auspicious with only one appearance.
For the 2023-2024 season, he was loaned out to Stoke City in the English Championship where he managed to make 19 appearances and scored a solitary goal. Upon his return to Celtic, he was subsequently transferred to Malmo FF in Sweden for about £1.7m in July 2024. He has since made three appearances for Malmo FF, and is expected to continue to do so for the 2025 season.
Adding to his tally of club appearances, he played four times as a substitute in the Svenska Cupen 2024 - 2025 for Malmo FF. With his current market value hovering around £2.2m (Transfermarkt), Hakšabanović has three years and two months left on his Malmo FF contract, set to expire on 30 June 2028.
