Sead Hakšabanović was born in Sweden on the 4th of May 1999. This 26-year-old forward primarily plays as a left winger for Malmo FF, donning the number 29 jersey. He stands at 5ft 8in (1.74m) and weighs 11st 9lb (74kg). He kickstarted his career in January 2006 at Halmstads BK in the Allsvenskan in Sweden, where he progressed from trainee to making 58 first team appearances and scoring 12 goals between 2015 and 2017. After building a reputation for himself at Halmstads, he transferred to West Ham United in the Premier League in August 2017 for a fee in the ballpark of £2.7m. After a year at West Ham, Hakšabanović spent two years on loan at Malaga in Spain and IFK Norrkoping in Sweden before permanently moving to IFK Norrkoping in June 2020 for an undisclosed amount.
While at IFK Norrkoping, he maintained an impressive game record with 93 first team appearances, 20 goals across three seasons before transferring to Rubin Kazan in the Premier League in Russia, in July 2021 for around £5.9m. Following a brief stint in Russia, Hakšabanović moved back to Sweden on loan with Djurgardens IF, and then journeyed to Scotland, joining Celtic in the Premiership for an undisclosed fee in August 2022.
While at Celtic, Hakšabanović impressed with 27 first team appearances and 5 goal contributions across two seasons. However, in September 2023, he moved on loan to Stoke City, where he put in 19 first team appearances and scored once in the Championship.
Hakšabanović ended up transferring from Celtic back to Sweden, this time with Malmo FF, for a fee of around £1.7m in July 2024. At Malmo FF, he added to his tally with 21 first team appearances and three goals in league matches in his first year and the current season. He also played in the Europa League and Champions League qualifiers for the club, scoring two goals in both tournaments.
