Scott Brown, an unrefined yet effective product of Scotland, was sculpted on the fervid footballing streets of his homeland on 25th November 1994. Now 30, Brown's football journey has seen him accumulate a wealth of experience in a variety of footballing climates. Currently he ties his laces for Raith Rovers, occupying a central defensive midfield role and adequately filling the number 20 jersey. His compact build, standing at 5ft 10in (1.78m) and weight of 12st 6lb (79kg), lends to his rigid and feisty style of play.
As of now, Transfermarkt values him approximately £128k. His alliance with Raith Rovers remains strong, with his contract due to culminate on May 31, 2027.
Emerging into the professional landscape from Clyde in Scotland's League Two, Brown sought to further his career with Bradford City of England's League One in July 2011. Two stirring years later, Brown found another home in St Johnstone, within the tough terraces of Scotland's Championship. An encouraging debut season saw him make four first team appearances and net a goal, but sadly the following seasons yielded ten and five appearances without any trademark goals.
Seeking game time, Brown briefly played in the lesser lights of Scotland's League Two, joining Dumbarton on loan. The 2015-2016 season saw him make 16 appearances. He then returned to St Johnstone, once again donning the Championship league’s badge on his chest.
His escapades then took him to Peterhead, back in Scotland's League One in August 2016. Two fruitful years furnished Brown with 48 appearances and a modest sum of four goals.
Since July 2022, Raith Rovers welcomed Brown into their ranks. Over the span of his years with the Championship side, Brown has contributed three goals and amassed 124 appearances. In his ongoing stint, he's already stepped onto the pitch in the league once. His commitment further extends to the cup competitions, having started in four League Cup and two Scottish Cup matches for Raith Rovers.
