Scott Bain, born in Edinburgh on 22 November 1991 (age 34), is a Scottish goalkeeper now with Falkirk. His early senior grounding included an Elgin City loan in 2010-2011, when he made 11 league appearances, the sort of spell that tends to teach a young keeper a bit more than training-ground polish.
Before Celtic, Bain had time at Falkirk and then became more firmly established at Dundee. That Dundee spell led to his January 2018 move to Celtic, where he spent more than seven years as part of a successful squad rather than as a constant headline act.
At Celtic, Bain won six Premiership titles, four League Cups and four Scottish Cups. He was also part of Celtic squads that finished runners-up in two Scottish Cups and one Premiership. His role shifted over time, but he remained a useful senior goalkeeper across a period when Celtic kept collecting silverware with some regularity.
Bain left Celtic for Falkirk in July 2025. In 2025-2026 he has been a regular first-team presence, making 32 league appearances and four more in the Scottish Cup, giving him 36 appearances across all competitions for the club. His current market value is around £85,000, according to Transfermarkt.
His career has run from early loan development, through Dundee and a long Celtic spell, to regular football again with Falkirk. It is a solid Scottish career, shaped by patience, squad value and enough medals to suggest he chose his employers fairly well.
