Scott Bain, a robust product of Scottish football, was born on the 22nd of November 1991, in Scotland. At the age of 34 he still guards the net with passion, this time for Falkirk, pulling on the number 19 jersey. He stands at 6ft (1.83m) and weighs in at 11st (70kg). Bain's professional career took off in August 2010, with a loan move from Aberdeen to the quaint setting of Elgin City in the Scottish League Two. He made a respectable 11 league appearances in his debut season at the Club. His initial success gave him a push up the football ladder as he transferred to Alloa Athletic in the Scottish League One in July 2011. Over the course of three seasons (2011-2014), Bain made a total of 100 first team league appearances.
In July 2014, Bain made the significant step up to the Premiership with Dundee. The following four seasons saw Bain engross himself in the cut and thrust of the top division, making 107 appearances in all competitions. A short loan spell at Hibernian in January 2018 preceded a momentous move to the storied Celtic Football Club later the same month.
At Celtic, Bain enjoyed many fruitful seasons between the sticks. His initial half-season saw him make seven league appearances, a tally he would later improve upon in the 2018-2019 season, with 20 appearances to his name. Seasons 2019-2020 through to 2023-2024 saw Bain continue to contribute to the Celtic cause, making a total of 26 league appearances. The highlight of his time at Celtic was undoubtedly wearing the number one jersey, week in, week out. This unforgettable experience came to an end in July 2025, when Bain transferred from Celtic to Falkirk.
In the current season of 2025-2026, Bain has so far made 31 first team appearances in league matches for Falkirk. Not showing any signs of slowing down, he also started in three League Cup matches as well as three Scottish Cup matches for Falkirk, adding to his long list of accomplishments in Scottish football. With his commitment and drive, one would bet that Bain's chapter in football is far from over.
