Sander Kartum, a Norwegian central midfielder currently playing his trade at Hearts, was born on the 3rd of October in 1995, making him now 30 years of age. Standing at a respectable 5 foot 10 inches (1.8 meters) and maintaining a playing weight of around 11 stone 6 pounds (73 Kg), Kartum is a robust figure in the midfielder position. Donning the number 27 jersey, he occupies a compelling presence on the field.
Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be around £390,000.
Back in January 2021, Kartum transferred from the Norwegian club, Stjørdals-Blink, in the 2. Divisjon to another Norwegian team, Kristiansund, in the Eliteserien for an undisclosed fee. During his debut season at Kristiansund, he managed to make 26 first team appearances, finding the back of the net on four separate occasions. The following season, he maintained his consistency with 28 first team appearances and adding another two goals to his tally.
In August 2023, Kartum set sail on a new venture, transferring from Kristiansund to Brann, another side competing in the Norwegian Eliteserien for a fee of about £182,000. With Brann, he made 12 first team appearances in his debut season, netting three times. He continued his established form in his second season, making 28 first team appearances and scoring four times.
When January 2025 came around, Kartum found himself on the move once more, this time setting his sights on Scottish Premiership team, Hearts. The transfer fee was set at around £305,000. In his 2024-2025 season with Hearts, he chalked up 12 first team appearances in league matches. However, as it stands in the current 2025-2026 season, he has not yet earned a spot in any first team league matches.
Despite his league appearances being on the lean side, he did participate in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Hearts with one start and one performance as a substitute. Back in the 2024-2025 season, he helped Hearts in the Scottish Cup, netting twice in one start and making two appearances as a substitute.
