February throws itself fervently into the abyss, and in its passing, the 8th day of March, 2006 gave us Samuel 'Sam' Kane. An authentic Scottish by birth, this lad was destined for the pitch. Time and tide waited for him to turn 19 and bear the number 31 for his beloved Queen's Park, ensconced in the heart of Glasgow. There, in green pastures, he resides, not as a forward, or as an attacker but as a remarkably vigilant goalkeeper.
Sadly, soon there may come a time when this ladship no longer wears the number 31 jersey, defending the Queen's Park goal. As per the Gregorian calendar, his contract is expected to expire on the 31st day of May, 2026. A mere 11 months hence. One would hope that Queens Park, astute in their dealings, realise the asset they have and weather this with delicate precision.
