Ryan Edwards, born on 7 October 1993 in England, is a stalwart defender currently providing his services at Falkirk. Towering at a height of 1.93m (6ft 3in) and tipping the scales at 90kg (14st 2lb), the number 25 shirt wearer primarily operates as a central defender.
Edwards' professional journey kickstarted in July 2012, beginning with a loan spell at Rochdale from the Championship team, Blackburn Rovers. During his debut season in England, spanning from 2012 to 2013, Edwards made 26 league appearances for Rochdale.
In an effort to gather more on-ground experience, Edwards shifted his focus to Fleetwood Town in February 2013 for a short-term loan. Despite the limited season, he managed to chalk up nine first team appearances in league matches.
Come July 2013, Edwards temporarily relocated his footballing talents to Chesterfield from Blackburn Rovers, accounting for five first team league appearances in the 2013 - 2014 season. This was followed by further loan spells at Tranmere Rovers, initiated in November 2013, and Morecambe, established in March 2014.
During his tenure at Morecambe, spread over four seasons from 2013 to 2017, Edwards shone in his central defensive role, recording over a hundred first team appearances and scoring two goals in the season 2016 - 2017.
