Scottish-born and bred, defender Ruari Ellis was born on the 29th of August, 2006. At 19 years young, he stands at an impressive 5ft 10in (1.8m) tall and weighs in at 11st 4lb (approximately 72kg). Typically found holding the line in the central defender position, Ellis wears jersey number 32 with a quiet sort of pride that encapsulates his playing style.
Ellis began his professional career in July 2023, as a promising young talent for Kilmarnock, in the Scottish Premiership. Known more for his calculus-like precision rather than brash tackles, his tenure with Kilmarnock was relatively short-lived and, one year later in November 2024, he was transferred to Broxburn Athletic. This loan saw him heading into the rough and tumble world of Junior Teams in Scotland, a notorious breeding ground for hardened footballers.
However, home is where the heart is, as the cliché goes, and in June 2025, Ellis prudently returned to Kilmarnock upon the completion of his loan. No doubt enriched by the experience of his sojourn in the Junior Teams, he nonetheless finds himself back in the Scottish Premiership, presumably for the foreseeable future.
