Ross MacIver, a strapping lad standing at 6 feet (1.84m) and weighing in at 11st 11lb (75kg), was born on 28 February 1998, in Scotland. At the tender age of 27, he holds the promising position of a forward for Falkirk; primarily undertaking the role of a striker, radiating tenacity every time he dons the Number 9 jersey.
Given the fervor and defiant spirit with which he plays, his current market value as of now is somewhere around the vicinity of £172k. A figure not just drawn out of thin air, but authenticated by the stalwarts at Transfermarkt.
Ross County had the good fortune of adding MacIver to their also-ran side, back in sunny July 2017. Barely breaking a sweat and leaving a trail of accomplishments in his wake, MacIver switched gears and proceeded to join Forfar Athletic, albeit on loan, only to find himself returning back to Ross County again by June the next year. A pattern repeated when he joined Elgin City in February 2019 on loan and eventually returned.
Amid highs and lows, in 2019 he made a defining leap from Ross County to Motherwell, a Premiership side, where he made a handful of appearances and imprinted his name on the score card several times. We did see him repeat another loan cycle when he switched to Greenock Morton in September 2020, only to return to Motherwell by the start of 2021.
On a brisk March morning in 2021, MacIver charted another course on the football map; a loan journey to Partick Thistle. Not long after, in July of the same year, the move was made permanent. This was followed by yet another loan spell, this time to Alloa Athletic, in February 2022. It wasn't a surprise when he made the move permanent in July - the young lad certainly had a taste for the dramatic. In his stints for Alloa Athletic, he left a considerable mark, appearing 28 times and finding the back of the net 5 times over two seasons.
Currently forging his reputation at Falkirk since July 2023, MacIver, in his debut season, put his name on the scoreboard at regular intervals and continues his scoring in the current season, with 3 goals in 10 appearances. Besides his league contribution, he put in a sterling performance in the League Cup for Falkirk in the 2025 - 2026 season, demonstrating his skills in both starting and substitute roles.
