Rory McKenzie, born on 7th October 1993 in Scotland, is a central midfielder playing for Kilmarnock. He stands at 5ft 8in (1.75m) tall and weighs 11st 11lb (75kg). He, at present, wears the number 7 jersey.
McKenzie became a part of Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership in January 2011. During his debut season in 2010-2011, he had his first play in league matches. Since then, he continued to appear for every season, with his performance slightly fluctuating throughout the years. In the 2012-2013 season, he appeared 22 times and scored two goals. He continued his stride in the 2013-2014 season, showing up 33 times and scoring four goals. He remained consistent in his attendance during the 2014-2015 to 2016-2017 seasons, appearing 28 times each season, though he recorded only one goal in the 2015-2016 season and four goals in the 2016-2017 season. During the seasons that followed, there was a slight decrease in his appearances, but he scored a goal each in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. In the 2020-2021 season, he showed consistent performance making 29 appearances and delivering two goals. His attendance increased in the 2022-2023 season with 36 appearances. However, in the following season (2023-2024), it depleted to 28 appearances, but he managed to score a goal. In the ongoing season (2024-2025), McKenzie has already made 13 first team appearences in the league matches.
At some point in January 2012, between his plays for Kilmarnock, McKenzie transferred to Brechin City in the Highland League on a season long loan. He was given an opportunity to play 17 times and scored seven goals in that period. In July the same year, he returned to Kilmarnock at the completion of his loan. Here, his contributions remained consistent with his contributions before, marking regular appearances on the play field and carrying on the tradition of scoring goals, which led to better team performances over the seasons.
In the current 2024 - 2025 season, along with the league appearances, McKenzie has participated in the League Cup for Kilmarnock with one start, Scottish Cup for Kilmarnock with one appearance as a substitute, Europa League Qualifiers for Kilmarnock with one start, and Conference League Qualifiers for Kilmarnock with two appearances as substitutes.
