A product of West African football, Peter Ambrose was born in Nigeria on the 10th of June, 2002. At the age of 22, this robust striker has already begun to etch his name into the annals of Aberdeen Football Club — where he currently plies his trade. Standing at a lofty 5ft 10in (1.8m) and weighing in at a solid 11st (70kg), Ambrose bears the number 32 on his back as he hotsteps along the front line for his side.
Ambrose's potential is currently valued at approximately £350k, as per data from Transfermarkt. With his existing agreement with Aberdeen not due to conclude until the 31st of May, 2027, it's likely that we will be seeing a great deal more from this young talent on Scottish soil.
It was in Hungary where Ambrose first began to court wider attention from the footballing sphere, in particular during his stint at Nemzeti Bajnokság I team, Ujpest. He joined the Hungarian side in November 2022. In his debutante season of 2022-23, Ambrose graced the pitch in 14 league matches, managing to pepper in a single goal. Hungry for more, Ambrose returned for the 2023-24 season to make 31 appearances and find the net an impressive 9 times.
July 2024 saw Ambrose make the journey from Hungary's top tier to the Scottish Premiership. Though the fee remains undisclosed, the move heralded new beginnings for our dynamic striker as he swapped his Ujpest strip for an Aberdeen one.
Already deep within the 2024 - 2025 season, Ambrose's form continues to impress. Having appeared on the pitch in Aberdeen colours for 14 league matches thus far, Ambrose has yet again found the back of the net. His talents have also been called upon for the League Cup, where he scored one goal over six substitute appearances. The Scottish Cup, too, hasn't escaped his sights — with Ambrose having made a single start.
