Bråtveit entered the football scene in January 2012 when he joined Haugesund in the OBOS-ligaen in Norway. He made his mark in the debut season 2014 with five appearances in league matches, a number that escalated with time. He was seen on the field 27 times in 2015, 23 times in 2016, 28 times in 2017 and 24 times in 2018.
In a shift of events in January 2019, Bråtveit moved from Haugesund to Djurgardens IF in the Allsvenskan in Sweden, with the deal being sealed for a rounded figure of £310k. During his tenure at Djurgardens IF, he graced the field ten times in 2019 and 18 times in 2020.

In yet another move in February 2024, he transferred from Odds Ballklubb to Stromsgodset in the OBOS-ligaen, both Norwegian clubs. In the seasons that followed, he made commendable appearances in league matches, 30 in 2024 and 25 in 2025.
Bråtveit's latest move in January 2026 brought him to Scottish shores, when he transferred to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership. In the current season (2025 - 2026), Bråtveit has firmly held the line for Aberdeen three times in league matches. Furthermore, he has also participated in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026 for Aberdeen with one start.
