Nuno Matos, a lad born amidst the truffles and vineyards of France on the 4th of October 2004, found his calling in football as a defender. Now 20 years of age, Matos' imposing stature of 5ft 11in (or 1.82m for those preferring metric) and 70kg frame (or 11 stone in the Queen's English) became a beacon of hope for SC Braga fans as he donned the number 62 shirt.
However, Matos' tenure at the Portuguese side has yet to yield in regular first team opportunities. Since his maiden season with SC Braga in 2023 - 2024, Matos only graced the pitch once for the first team. As of this writing in the midst of the 2025 - 2026 season, the young defender from France has not yet managed another first-team appearance.
Regardless of his limited senior team appearances, the strength and potential demonstrated by Matos can certainly not be dismissed. With a little luck and consistence on his side, he could be prime to become a regular feature in SC Braga's defence in the near future.
