Niklas Geyrhofer, an Austrian bloke born on 11 February 2000, presently showcases his defensive wizardry for Sturm Graz, mostly as a central defender. Standing tall at 6ft 2in (1.88m), and a lean 11st 4lb (72kg), he dons the number 35 jersey with pride. As of now, the lad's market value floats around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Geyrhofer's journey in football commenced in September 2009 when he joined the Bundesliga team, Sturm Graz, as a trainee. Navigating through the ranks, he made his first appearance for the main team in the 2019-2020 season, featuring in six league matches.
The following seasons saw Geyrhofer gradually cement his place in the squad. Whilst he managed ten appearances in the 2020-2021 season, the 2021-2022 and the 2022-2023 seasons saw him on the pitch 12 and seven times, respectively. The next season was similar with Geyrhofer establishing himself with twelve appearances.
It was in the 2024-2025 season that Geyrhofer truly announced his arrival, not only presenting himself on the field 19 times but also finding the back of the net on one occasion. The current 2025-2026 season has seen him make one appearance so far.
In the midst of the 2025 season, there was a minor adjustment in Geyrhofer's journey. He was transferred from Sturm Graz II, a team in the 2. Liga in Austria, back to the main squad of Sturm Graz in the Bundesliga.
Showing his versatility, Geyrhofer also featured in European competitions. He made an appearance as a substitute both in the Conference League 2023-2024 and the current Europa League 2025-2026 seasons for Sturm Graz.
Unfortunately, Geyrhofer's path hasn't crossed with the Glasgow giants, Celtic. Had he done so, there could have been a different tale to tell.
