Nicolas Seiwald, born on 4 May 2001 (age 25), is an Austrian centre midfielder with RB Leipzig, where he wears the number 13 shirt. His current market value is around £13.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His early senior work came at FC Liefering, where his most productive league season was 2019–20: three goals in 23 appearances. That remains the clearest scoring return of his league career, though his game has never really been built around numbers at that end of the pitch.
At Leipzig, Seiwald has remained a regular first-team presence in 2025–26, making 33 Bundesliga appearances without scoring. That tells its own fairly plain story: trusted often enough, used heavily, but not a midfielder whose value is measured by goals.
He has also stayed involved with Austria, making one World Cup appearance and eight appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season. His career to date is a steady one: Liefering as the platform, Leipzig as the main stage, and Austria still part of the picture.
