Nicky Hogarth - our great Celtic savior, or the second coming of Henrik Larsson he is not. He's a keeper, born in Scotland on a balmy summer day in 2001, which leaves him, if my fingers don't fail me, at 24 years of age. He's neither a beast of a man nor a jockey's delight, standing 5ft 11in (1.82m) tall and tipping the scales at 11st 6lb (73kg). His jersey showcases the no.1 - naturally, the numeral one would associate with the lead goalie, but we'll leave that up to interpretation.
Now, we're not ones to mince words nor fat pockets here. His market value is a grandiose sum of - drumroll please - around £127,000, as per the hefty intellect at Transfermarkt.
Our man Hogarth, in an inspiring tale of youthful ambition, joined the ranks at Rangers as a trainee in 2017. Astonishingly, our protagonist then commenced a nomadic pilgrimage through Scottish football. In 2020, he skipped over to Stirling Albion on loan, then sidled up to Cowdenbeath later that same year. Such grandeur.
In 2021, a rather quaint-ruby tinge spread over his career. He jetted off to Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League. But, alas - his sojourn in the land of Robin Hood was short-lived as he popped right back to bonnie Scotland with Falkirk in 2022 - again on loan. Might I add, also in his debut season of 2022 - 2023, our lad made an astonishing 15 first team appearances. The very subsequent season saw him turn out a whole 36 times.
In an awe-inspiring chronicle of déjà vu, Hogarth transferred (yet again) from Nottingham Forest to Falkirk in 2023. Then in the 2024 - 2025 season at Falkirk, he didn't fail to impress, making first team appearances in league matches all the grand total of - no, wait for it -36 times! Currently, during the season of 2025 - 2026, he's really going all out with three first team appearances. Oh, and just in case you're interested in cups of the league variety, he's started in two of them in 2025 - 2026. Cinematic stuff, really.
