Nathan Moriah-Welsh, an English-born midfielder, rose to footballing prominence following his birth on 18th March 2002. Now 22 years of age, Moriah-Welsh stands at a height of 5ft 8in (1.75m), boasting a durable build at 11st (70kg). He presently commands the midfield in his number 22 jersey for the Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.
Moriah-Welsh's journey into footballing professional ranks started at Bournemouth, a team in the English Premier League, where he joined as a trainee in July 2018. Nearly four years later, in August 2022, he temporarily departed Bournemouth for Newport County, a team in the English League Two, as part of a loan deal.
During his debut season, the 2022-2023 campaign at Newport County, Moriah-Welsh prudently exploited his chance, making 28 first team appearances and finding the net thrice in league matches. His productive stint drew to an end in June 2023, when he returned to Bournemouth, his parent club in the Premier League.
By January 2024, Moriah-Welsh found himself on the move again. This time, the move took him beyond English borders, transferring to Hibernian, a prominent side in the Scottish Premiership. The transfer fee for this move remained undisclosed.
During his inaugural season with Hibernian in 2023-2024, Moriah-Welsh earned his place in the first team across 14 league matches. The current season of 2024-2025 has also seen Moriah-Welsh maintain his spot in the first team, with another 14 appearances locked to his name.
His tenure at Hibernian extends beyond league football, revealed by his active role in the League Cup 2024-2025 and Scottish Cup 2024-2025. In the former, he netted once across three starts and two substitute appearances. Meanwhile in the latter, his appearances were halved to one start and one substitute appearance.
