Born in Ukraine on the 1st of July, 2001, Mykola Kukharevych has established himself as a forward, primarily operating from the striker's position for Hibernian. Standing at an imposing 6ft 3in (1.93m) and 12st 6lb (79kg) in weight, Kukharevych is a commanding presence on the pitch, brandishing the number 99 jersey.
His journey in football began in July 2014 when he joined Volyn Lutsk in the Persha Liha in Ukraine, entering as a young trainee. Kukharevych's potential didn't go unnoticed, and in 2020, he made a transfer to Rukh Lviv in the country's Premier League for an undisclosed fee. During that debut 2019-2020 season, he made an impact with six appearances and two goals. This contribution continued into the 2020-2021 season with Kukharevych making 18 first-team appearances and netting another two goals.
July 2021 saw another move in his career, transferring to Troyes in France's Ligue 2. His stint at Troyes was brief, as within the month he found himself on loan to Oud-Heverlee Leuven in the Belgian Pro League. Here, Kukharevych's game time increased, earning six appearances in the 2021-2022 season and four in the following year.
In September 2022, Kukharevych found himself moving north to join Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership, again on loan. During his time at Hibernian, he made 15 appearances and scored five times. Kukharevych was no less influential in the current 2024-2025 season, with 18 appearances and four goals to his name.
However, amid his successful time at Hibernian, there was a brief interlude at Swansea City in England's Championship. This period saw a move from Troyes in July 2023 for an undisclosed fee, where he made ten first-team appearances and scored once during the 2023-2024 season. A year later, he returned to Hibernian, resuming his form with a further five goals from 15 appearances in the 2022-2023 season and four goals from 18 appearances in the current season.
Kukharevych's contributions extended beyond league matches, featuring in Hibernian's League Cup 2024-2025 campaign, scoring one goal in his solo appearance, and also participating in the Scottish Cup 2024-2025, starting twice for the club.
