Murray Johnson, a Scotsman born on 13 November 2004, now aged 20 is a goalkeeper currently plying his trade at Hibernian. Tipping the scales at 87kg (13st 9lb), and standing tall at 1.89m (6ft 2in), he is a commanding presence in the goal mouth. His jersey of choice is the number 31.
According to Transfermarkt, Murray carries a modest market value of around €50k, which converts to approximately £42.5k.
Much of Johnson's early career was spent at Airdrieonians in Scotland. In his debut season of 2022 - 2023, he was called up to make six first team appearances. The following season of 2024 - 2025 saw Johnson contribute further to Airdrieonians' campaign by making 11 first team appearances.
However, the move to Hibernian for the 2025 - 2026 season has, so far, proved challenging for Johnson. Despite a promising start to his career at Airdrieonians, he is yet to make a first team appearance for his current club. Nevertheless, with his youth and potential, there's plenty of time left for the promising keeper to leave his mark on Hibernian. Only time will tell if Johnson can fulfil his promise and rise to become a stalwart for the Hibees.
