Munashe Garan'anga is a Zimbabwe-born professional football player, who was born on the 18th of January in 2001, making him 25 years old at this time. Garan'anga's position on the field is mainly that of a central defender, and he currently plays for the football team Hibernian. Standing at 6ft 1in (1.86m) and weighing 12st 8lb (80kg), Garan'anga is a strong presence on the pitch. He represents his country on the pitch too, having played for the Zimbabwe national team. Typically, you'll see him wearing the number 42 jersey.
Garan'anga's current market worth sits at around £1.5m, as stated by the football statistics website, Transfermarkt.
Prior to joining Hibernian, Garan'anga made a series of moves across European clubs. In January of 2023, he transferred from Dynamo Brest in Belarus's Premier League, to Sheriff Tiraspol of the Divizia Naţională in Moldova. The fee of this move remains undisclosed to this day.
Likely in pursuit of more challenging competition, he made another move just a year later in February of 2024 from Sheriff Tiraspol to Mechelen in Belgium's Pro League. Showing ambition and potential, this move netted a transfer fee of approximately £430k. This debut season saw him make six appearances on Mechelen's first team for league matches.
Apparently unsatisfied with the level of competition in Belgium, Garan'anga transferred clubs again in July of 2024. Leaving Mechelen, he joined the ranks of FC Copenhagen in Denmark's Superliga. This move, which cost around £3.5m, allowed him to add more notches to his belt, making 11 first team appearances in league games in his first season, and five appearances so far in the current 2025 - 2026 season, even scoring a goal.
Come February 2026, the jetsetting footballer's journey leads him to Scottish soil as he joined Hibernian in the Premiership, although only on loan. The current 2025 - 2026 season has seen him make two first team appearances already.
Internationally, Garan'anga has made his mark too - having competently represented his home country Zimbabwe at the Africa CON 2025 with two starts, and also in the World Cup Qualifiers Africa for the periods 2024 - 2026 with six starts and one appearance as a substitute.
