Moussa Dembele, born on 12 July 1996 in France, is a versatile football forward who currently plays as a striker for Al-Ettifaq. He stands 6 feet (1.83m) tall and weighs in at 12st 6lb (79kg).
In July 2012, Dembele embarked on his Premier League adventure with Fulham in England, making his debut in the 2013-2014 season with two first-team league appearances. The following two seasons saw Dembele becoming an increasingly important fixture in the team, making a total of 54 first-team league appearances and adding 15 goals to Fulham's kitty during the 2015-2016 season.
Noticing his heightened activity on the football pitch, Celtic in the Scottish Premiership snapped up Dembele in July 2016, for a deal of roughly £500k. His performance for Celtic highlighted the club's astute eye for talent. Scoring 17 goals in 29 first-team league appearances during the 2016-2017 season, he proved a vital part of the Celtic machine and continued his goal-scoring spree in the 2017-2018 season with 9 further goals in 25 appearances. His final season, 2018-2019, was short-lived with only one first-team appearance.
In August 2018, Dembele set course for Lyon in France's Ligue 1, on a transfer deal sitting around £20m. His journey with Lyon saw mixed results, nevertheless his scoring prowess was undeniable. Across five seasons, he made a whopping 130 first-team appearances scoring a total of 56 goals.
In January 2021, Dembele took a brief hiatus from Lyon to join Atletico Madrid in Spain's La Liga, on loan. He added five first-team appearances to his tally during the 2020-2021 season. After this brief foray into Spanish soil, Dembele returned to familiar territory, re-joining Lyon on completion of his loan in June 2021.
In July 2023, Dembele bade adieu to European football and headed towards Al-Ettifaq in the Pro League in Saudi Arabia. Keeping in line with his ripple effect of scoring goals, he continues to find the back of the net, with 6 goals in 17 first-team appearances in the current 2025-2026 season.
