Michee Efete, an English-born defender who was brought into this world on the 11th day of March in 1997, currently plies his trade as a right back for the Highlands outfit, Ross County. At 27 years of age, standing 5ft 10in tall (1.8m) and clocking in at 11st 6lb (73kg), he's a commanding presence on the pitch. His name emblazoned on the back of the number 24 jersey is a common sight for the Staggies' faithful.
As per the data from Transfermarkt, Efete's current market value fluctuates around £130k. His commitment to Ross County is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Efete began his professional journey carved out in the lower echelons of English football. A spell on loan at Torquay United from Norwich City in the summer of 2017 offered his first taste of regular first-team football, as he boasted 17 league appearances in his debut season.
The following summer, Efete made a permanent move from Norwich City to Maidstone United, further solidifying his understanding of the game's robust physical nature in these lower football tiers. However, his stay was short and by January 2019, Billericay Town welcomed the stalwart defender for an undisclosed fee, as Efete continued to bounce around the country's lesser-known clubs.
His admirable performances wouldn't go unnoticed, and Wealdstone secured his services for another undisclosed fee in July 2019. By the summer of 2021, Grimsby Town in England's League Two recognised his potential and successfully negotiated his transfer.
Notably, during the 2022/23 season at Grimsby Town, Efete contributed considerably, making 32 first team appearances and notably finding the back of the net. Nevertheless, come February 2024, Michee Efete was destined for a change of scenery, and a step into the land of tartan as Ross County made their interest known.
His maiden voyage into Scottish football saw 16 league appearances with the Staggies, a trend he's continuing in the present season with another six appearances so far. Efete's time in Scotland has also seen him feature in the League Cup and Premiership Play-offs, offering experience in several competitive environments to help Ross County to success.
