Michael Duffy, born in Derry on 28 July 1994 (age 31), is a Republic of Ireland left winger whose career has taken him from Derry City to Celtic, on to Dundalk, and back into a more settled role at Derry.
Celtic brought him over from Derry City in February 2015, a move that gave him an early step into a bigger setup but did not become the main stretch of his senior career. Two years later, in February 2017, he left Celtic for Dundalk, where his game began to carry more substance.
His best league return came at Dundalk in 2019, when he scored 12 goals in 34 appearances. That spell gave him the platform he had not really found at Celtic, and it was followed by a fuller establishment back at Derry City.
In 2026, Duffy has made 14 league appearances for Derry City and scored five goals. His career has been shaped by that early Celtic move, but his strongest first-team football has come in Ireland, particularly with Dundalk and Derry.
