Mehdi Merghem

Mehdi Merghem of Dundee United was born in Aubervilliers, France on 19 July 1997 (age 29).

Mehdi Merghem, born on 19 July 1997 (age 29), is an Algerian right winger now with Dundee United, where he wears the number 7 shirt.

His senior path was shaped by early loan football before Guingamp became the main body of his career. Over five seasons there, he made 97 league appearances and scored 10 league goals, which gives the spell a weight the rest of his CV does not yet match.

His best return came in 2023-2024, when he scored five times in 35 league appearances for Guingamp. That was the season where his output caught up, at least a little, with the regularity of his selection.

At Dundee United in 2026-2027, Merghem has made five league appearances and one League Cup appearance, taking him to six appearances in all competitions for the club. His career to this point is still built chiefly on that long Guingamp run, with Dundee United now the next stage rather than the main story.
