Maryan Shved was born on the 16th of July 1997 in Ukraine. Now a sprightly 28 years of age, the forward primarily plays as a right winger for Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk. Standing at a nimble 5ft 7in (1.71m) and weighing in at a respectable 9st 12lb (63kg), he dons the number 9 jersey for his side.
His current market value, rounded to the nearest whole number, is approximately £845,000, according to Transfermarkt. His transfer history has seen him weave a path from his native Ukraine, to Spain, Scotland and Belgium before returning once more to his homeland.
In August of 2015, Shved departed from Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv, within his native Premier League, to join Spanish outfit Sevilla Atlético, which competes in Spain's Second Division B/1. The agreed transfer fee for this move was around £900,000.
His stint in Spain saw little in the way of first-team appearances, with Shved taking to the pitch for a single league match in the 2015 - 2016 season, and failing to appear at all in the following season. He then returned to Karpaty Lviv in August 2017.
Back in Ukraine, across his time within the 2014 to 2019 seasons, he made 54 first team appearances and netted a total of 22 goals in league matches.
Shved's career took him to Scotland in July of 2019 when he joined Celtic in the Premiership. His transfer fee for this move was around £1.8 million. While his time at Celtic was brief, with just a lone first team appearance in the 2019 - 2020 season, his performance on the pitch will kept him in the memories of the Celtic faithful.
His wanderlust unsated, Shved found himself on loan to Belgian side Mechelen in the Pro League in August of 2020. Between 2020 and 2023, he made 46 first team appearances, and scored a total of 5 goals.
In July 2021, he moved permanently from Celtic to Mechelen, where he continued his track record of first team appearances.
In September 2022, he transferred to Shakhtar Donetsk, commanding a transfer fee of approximately £900,000. In the current 2025 - 2026 season, he has so far made a single first team appearance.
His forays into international competition with Shakhtar Donetsk have seen him make appearances in the Champions League and in the Europa League qualifiers as a substitute.
