The robust Serbian footballer, Marko Lazetić, was born on 22 January 2004 and at just 21 years old has already begun to make a name for himself on the pitch. Having first laced up his boots for Red Star in Serbia's SuperLiga in July 2018, Lazetić's debut in the competitive world of football was quiet, with only one first-team appearance in league matches during the 2020-2021 season.
A loan from Red Star in February 2021 to Graficar in the First League demonstrated an emerging talent, with Lazetić making 14 first-team appearances and scoring four goals in league matches. Lazetić returned to Red Star after completion of his loan and continued to improve, scoring one goal in the 14 appearances he made in the first team for the 2021-2022 season.
In January 2022, Italian giants AC Milan recognised Lazetić's potential and transferred him from Red Star for a fee of around £3.6m. However, his opportunities there were limited, resulting in just one first-team appearance in league matches during the 2022-2023 season.
A series of loans followed for Lazetić. In February 2023, he moved from AC Milan to SCR Altach in Austria's Bundesliga before bouncing back to AC Milan later that year. AC Milan then loaned Lazetić out again in August 2023, this time to Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands' Eredivisie, where he made eight first team appearances. Upon his return to Italy that June, Lazetić was sent out once more, this time to TSC in the SuperLiga in Serbia where he enjoyed a productive 2024-2025 season, making 32 first team appearances and scoring two goals.
Finally, in August 2025, AC Milan transferred Lazetić to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. Currently, during the 2025-2026 season, Lazetić has made 13 first team appearances and scored four goals. Apart from his league duties, he has also represented Aberdeen in the League Cup 2025-2026 with one appearance as a substitute, and the Conference League 2025-2026 with four starts and one appearance as a substitute.
Lazetić stands tall at 6ft 3in (1.92m) with a weight of 12stones 8lbs (80kg), a physical stature well suited for his position as a striker. He wears the number 27 jersey for Aberdeen and his current market value is approximately £680,000, according to Transfermarkt.
